Keller & Keller
Sam Keller and Richard Keller
September 11–27, 2026
Sitting Room Gallery, New York
A collaborative exhibition between Sam Keller (b. 1986, Brooklyn; lives and works in Los Angeles) and his late uncle, the self-taught artist Richard Keller.
After discovering a portfolio containing hundreds of Richard’s intricate magazine and newspaper cut-outs for collages never realized, Sam found an opportunity to explore the inextricable connection between them through a new body of work.
Alongside the collages, Sam presented a collection of Richard’s brooches, crafted from detritus from the streets of Paris, and a new series of Swarovski-encrusted Can works.
The title is a tongue-in-cheek reference to Beller & Keller, a corporate law firm run by Sam’s father, Richard’s brother, in the 1990s and 2000s. The gallery sits a few blocks from the Lower East Side tenements the family immigrated to in the early 1880s.
